This is a 12V DC submersible water pump with a rust-free thermoplastic body and a 1.5" discharge outlet. Because it runs on 12 volts DC, it works directly from a battery or a solar + battery setup — making it ideal for power-cut backup dewatering, off-grid water transfer, and boat/RV use. Imported and tested, supplied by Standard Machinery, Bhavnagar, for buyers across India and export markets.
Overview
These are genuine Basement Watchdog (Glentronics, USA) 12V DC submersible pumps, originally built as battery-backup pumps that keep working during power outages. The submersible motor sits in the water and pumps it out through a 1.5" outlet. The thermoplastic body will not rust, and the pump is compact and easy to place in a pit, tank or flooded area. Different models are available with different flow ratings (see table below).
⚡ How It Is Powered (Important)
- Runs on 12V DC — connect to a 12V battery (or an inverter/UPS battery, or a solar panel + battery).
- It does not run directly on wall AC power. A 12V DC source is required.
- Typical current draw is about 6.5–12 A at 12V, depending on model.
Performance (by Model)
| Model |
Part No. |
Flow @ 0 ft lift |
| Emergency |
1011004 / 1011014 |
~2,000 GPH (~7,570 LPH) |
| Special |
1011002 |
~2,600 GPH (~9,840 LPH) |
| Big Dog |
1011003 |
~3,500 GPH (~13,250 LPH) |
| Pro Series 1850 |
1011015 |
~1,850 GPH (~7,000 LPH) |
Maximum head is about 4.5 m (15 ft). This is a high-flow, low-lift pump — flow reduces as the lift height increases. Please tell us your required lift so we can confirm the real flow for your use.
Applications
- Backup dewatering during power cuts (runs on battery when AC power is out)
- Solar and off-grid water pumping and transfer
- Boat, RV, caravan and marine water transfer
- Draining sumps, pits, tanks and flooded areas
- Emergency flood-water removal
Industries / Buyers Served
Off-grid and solar users, farms and remote sites, boat and RV owners, homes and basements needing power-cut backup, and anyone needing a battery-powered dewatering pump.
Why Buy This Pump

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this pump powered?
It runs on 12V DC from a battery, inverter/UPS battery, or a solar panel with a battery. It does not run on wall AC power directly.
Can it run on solar?
Yes. With a suitable 12V battery charged by a solar panel, it can run off-grid.
How much water does it move?
Depending on the model, about 2,000 to 3,500 GPH (roughly 7,500 to 13,250 LPH) at zero lift. Flow drops as the lift height increases; maximum head is about 4.5 m.
Can it pump dirty or muddy water?
No. It is for clean or clear water only — not for mud, slurry, oil, corrosive or flammable liquids.
What is the outlet size?
1.5" (one and a half inch).
Do you supply across India and for export?
Yes. Standard Machinery supplies pan-India and to export markets including Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
