Mandatory Unboxing Video Required

To be eligible for any return, replacement or refund you MUST provide a clear, continuous, unedited unboxing video that shows the sealed package, the opening process, and the contents. Without this video evidence, absolutely no refund, return or replacement will be processed — no exceptions.

1. Overview

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all products purchased through Standard Machinery (https://www.standardmachinery.store), a website jointly owned by CanStart Technologies and Standard Machinery. By placing an order you acknowledge and agree to the conditions outlined below.

2. Eligibility for Returns

A return or refund request will only be considered if all of the following conditions are met:

Unboxing Video Provided

You must submit a clear, continuous, unedited video recording the entire unboxing from the sealed package to complete inspection of all contents. The video must clearly show the shipping label, seal condition, and all items received. Edited, spliced, or partial videos will be rejected.

Claim Raised Within 48 Hours

The return/refund request must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery. Claims raised after this period will not be entertained.

Product in Original Condition

The product must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging with all accessories, manuals and tags intact.

Valid Reason

Eligible reasons include: wrong product delivered, defective/damaged on arrival, missing parts, or significant deviation from the listed description.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following products are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Custom-manufactured or made-to-order products
  • Products damaged due to improper use, installation, or negligence by the buyer
  • Electrical components that have been installed, wired, or energised
  • Products with broken seals where no unboxing video exists
  • Items marked as "Non-Returnable" or "Final Sale" on the product page
  • Products returned after the 48-hour claim window

4. How to Request a Return

  1. Email us at returns@standardmachinery.com within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Include your order number, the product(s) in question, the reason for return, and photographs of the issue.
  3. Upload your unboxing video via the link we provide (or attach it directly if under 25 MB). The video must be unedited and show the complete unboxing process.
  4. Wait for approval. Our team will review your claim within 3-5 business days.
  5. If approved, we will provide a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and return shipping instructions.

5. Refund Process

  • Once the returned product is received and inspected at our warehouse, we will notify you of the refund decision.
  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-14 business days.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong or defective product).
  • For defective products, we may offer a replacement instead of a refund at our discretion.

6. Damaged/Defective on Arrival

If your product arrives damaged or defective:

  • Do NOT use or install the product.
  • Photograph the outer packaging, damage, and the product from multiple angles.
  • Provide your unboxing video (mandatory).
  • Contact us within 48 hours. We will arrange a free return pickup and provide a replacement or full refund.

Reporting damage without an unboxing video will result in automatic rejection of the claim, as we cannot verify when the damage occurred.

7. Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled before shipment for a full refund.
  • Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled and must follow the returns process above.
  • Custom or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once production has begun.

8. Return Shipping

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong/defective product), we will cover return shipping costs.
  • For all other eligible returns (change of mind, wrong order by buyer), return shipping is at the buyer's expense.
  • Products must be packed securely in their original packaging. Damage during return transit due to inadequate packing is the buyer's responsibility.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you are unsatisfied with our return/refund decision, you may escalate the matter by writing to legal@standardmachinery.com. All disputes shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi.
