This is an imported KJI Hydro submersible pump, model 4"KSE-25-4T, from KJI Hydro of Chicago, Illinois, USA, made in Korea. It has a 25 HP (approx. 18.6 kW) three phase motor and a 4 inch flanged discharge, and is rated to deliver 634 GPM (approx. 1.44 lakh LPH) at 98 ft (approx. 30 m) head at 60 Hz. It is supplied by Standard Machinery in Imported, Refurbished & Tested condition.

The motor is IP68 rated for continuous submersion and uses Class H insulation, which handles higher winding temperatures than standard Class F motors. The heavy cast iron volute and slow 1750 RPM speed make this pump well suited to wastewater, sewage and drainage duty, where solids and grit are present.

The nameplate rates this pump 3 phase, 60 Hz, 230 V / 460 V. It is a direct match for 460 V or 440 V, 60 Hz supplies (in the 460 V connection), used on ships and in several export markets.

On an Indian 415 V, 50 Hz supply, the motor is connected for the 460 V rating. Because it is a 60 Hz pump:

  • Speed drops about 17%, to roughly 1450–1460 RPM
  • By the pump affinity laws, the rated duty point shifts to roughly 1.2 lakh LPH at about 20 m (68 ft)
  • Running current should be checked on test against the 31 A rating
