Tsurumi KTZ-15H Heavy-Duty Dewatering Pump – 2 HP, Cast Iron, 50 mm

This is an imported Tsurumi KTZ-15H submersible dewatering pump from Tsurumi's KTZ series, the Japanese manufacturer's flagship line of heavy-duty drainage pumps. It has a 1.5 kW (2 HP) motor and a 50 mm (2 inch) outlet, and Tsurumi rates it at 0.25 m³/min (15,000 LPH) at 16.5 m head. It is supplied by Standard Machinery in Imported, Refurbished & Tested condition, with the motor rewound for 440 V, 3 phase.

Unlike lightweight aluminium site pumps, the KTZ series is built with a cast iron body and a high-chrome cast iron impeller, designed to keep working in abrasive water carrying sand and silt. In Tsurumi's current range, the comparable 50 mm, 1.5 kW model is the KTZ21.5.

Voltage & Power Note

The motor has been rewound for 440 V, 3 phase, which suits standard Indian 415–440 V industrial supply. The original Tsurumi nameplate is retained and still shows the factory rating of 200/220 V, 60 Hz; the 440 V rating applies after our rewinding.

Tsurumi's rated duty point of 15,000 LPH at 16.5 m is for 60 Hz operation. On a 50 Hz supply, the pump runs about 17% slower; by the pump affinity laws, the duty point shifts to roughly 12,500 LPH at about 11.5 m. Use a DOL starter with overload, phase-failure and earth protection.

Safety Note

  • This refurbished unit is not offered as explosion-proof and must not be used in hazardous areas
  • Pump water only, including water with sand and silt; not for oil, fuel, solvents or flammable liquids
  • Lift and lower the pump by its handle, never by the power cable
  • Always connect the earth conductor before use
