This is an imported Tsurumi submersible dewatering pump with a 22 kW (approx. 30 HP) three phase motor and a 100 mm (4 inch) top discharge. It carries its original Japanese nameplate (model marked GH-422) and is rated for continuous submerged duty. It is supplied by Standard Machinery in Imported, Refurbished & Tested condition.

Tsurumi is a Japanese manufacturer well known for rugged submersible pumps used in construction, mining and tunnelling. This unit has a compact upright design with top discharge, two heavy lifting eyes and a bottom strainer, so it can be lowered into narrow pits and sumps.

Voltage & Power Note

Please read before ordering. This pump is rated 60 Hz (3490 RPM). The voltage digits on the nameplate are worn, but the rated current of 77 A at 22 kW corresponds to a low-voltage (approx. 200–220 V class) three phase motor, typical of Japanese supply. A 400 V class motor of the same power would draw about half this current.

This pump must not be connected directly to an Indian 415 V supply. For use in India, one of the following is needed:

  • A suitably rated step-down transformer to the motor's rated voltage, or
  • Rewinding the motor for 415 V, 50 Hz

On a 50 Hz supply, the pump will also run about 17% slower, with roughly 69% of its 60 Hz head and 83% of its 60 Hz flow. Contact us and we will confirm the electrical details and suggest the right setup for your site. Use a soft starter or reduced-voltage starter with overload, phase-failure and earth protection.

Safety Note

  • Confirm the motor voltage before connecting; connecting to the wrong voltage will damage the motor
  • This refurbished unit is not offered as explosion-proof and must not be used in hazardous areas
  • Pump water only, including water with sand and silt; not for oil, fuel, solvents or flammable liquids
  • Lift and lower the pump only by its lifting eyes using rated lifting gear, never by the power cable
  • Always connect the earth conductor before use
