Flygt 2125 Submersible Dewatering Pump – 13 HP (9.7 kW), High Head
This is an imported Flygt 2125 submersible dewatering pump with a 13 HP (9.7 kW) three phase motor. The original Flygt nameplate shows product code 2125.110, a star-delta motor rated 440 V (star) / 220 V (delta), 60 Hz, 3400 RPM, made by Flygt Corporation (a subsidiary of ITT), Norwalk, Connecticut. It is supplied by Standard Machinery in Imported, Refurbished & Tested condition.
The Flygt 2125 is a high head dewatering pump in the well-known Flygt 2000 series. It is compact enough to be handled by one lifting bail, yet rated for up to 75 m head and up to 72,000 LPH. These are the two ends of its performance range: maximum head is reached at low flow, and maximum flow at low head.

Voltage & Power Note
The original nameplate rates this pump 440 V star / 220 V delta, 60 Hz. It is a direct match for 440 V, 60 Hz supplies, used on ships and in several export markets. For a 220 V three phase supply, the motor is connected in delta.
On an Indian 415 V, 50 Hz supply, the motor is connected in star. Because it is a 60 Hz motor:
- Speed drops about 17%, to roughly 2830 RPM
- By the pump affinity laws, head drops to about 69% (approx. 52 m maximum) and flow to about 83% (approx. 60,000 LPH maximum)
- The motor runs with slightly higher magnetising flux on 415 V, 50 Hz, so running current should be checked against the 17 A rating
For full rated performance, the pump can be run through a VFD set to 60 Hz output. Use a DOL starter, star-delta starter or VFD with overload, phase-failure and earth protection.
Safety Note
- This refurbished unit is not offered as explosion-proof and must not be used in hazardous areas
- Pump water only, including water with sand, silt and abrasives; not for oil, fuel, solvents or flammable liquids
- Lift and lower the pump only by its lifting bail using a chain or rope, never by the power cable
- Connect the motor in the correct star or delta configuration for your supply voltage
- Always connect the earth conductor before use
Maintenance Tips
- Check the oil in the seal chamber at regular intervals; water in the oil indicates seal wear
- Inspect the impeller and wear parts if head or flow drops
- Keep the strainer clear of mud and debris
- Check motor insulation resistance before installation
- Inspect the power cable for cuts and damage before every use
- After pumping abrasive water, flush the pump with clean water where possible
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the motor ratings of this Flygt 2125?
The original nameplate shows 13 hp (9.7 kW), 3 phase, 440 V star / 220 V delta, 17 / 32 A, 60 Hz, 3400 RPM.
What head and flow can it deliver?
It is rated for up to 75 m head and up to 72,000 LPH. Maximum head and maximum flow occur at different points on the pump curve, not at the same time.
Will it work on Indian 415 V, 50 Hz supply?
Yes, connected in star. As a 60 Hz pump, it will run about 17% slower, with roughly 52 m maximum head and 60,000 LPH maximum flow. A VFD set to 60 Hz output restores full performance.
Can it pump muddy or sandy water?
Yes. The Flygt 2000 series is built for dewatering water containing sand, silt and abrasives. It is not for oil or flammable liquids.
How heavy is the pump?
The pump weighs about 78 kg and is handled using its steel lifting bail.
Do you export?
Yes. Standard Machinery supplies across India and exports to Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Contact us for export packing and shipping details.
