Tsurumi KTV-15H Submersible Dewatering Pump – 2 HP, Rewound for 440 V

This is an imported Tsurumi KTV-15H submersible dewatering pump, made in Japan by Tsurumi Manufacturing. It is a compact, portable 2 HP (1.5 kW) pump with a 50 mm (2 inch) outlet. At just 30 kg, one person can carry and position it on site. It is supplied by Standard Machinery in Imported, Refurbished & Tested condition.

Tsurumi built this pump for the Japanese 200–220 V supply. We have rewound the motor for 440 V, 3 phase, so it can be connected to standard Indian industrial power without a step-down transformer. The original Tsurumi nameplate is retained on the pump and still shows the factory rating.

Voltage & Power Note

The motor has been rewound for 440 V, 3 phase, which suits standard Indian 415–440 V industrial supply. Please note that the original Tsurumi nameplate still shows the factory rating of 200–220 V, 60 Hz; the 440 V rating applies after our rewinding.

Tsurumi's rated duty point of 15,000 LPH at 16.5 m is for 60 Hz operation (3400 RPM). On a 50 Hz supply, the pump runs about 17% slower; by the pump affinity laws, the duty point shifts to roughly 12,500 LPH at about 11.5 m. Use a DOL starter with overload, phase-failure and earth protection.

Safety Note

  • This refurbished unit is not offered as explosion-proof and must not be used in hazardous areas
  • Pump water only, including water with sand and silt; not for oil, fuel, solvents or flammable liquids
  • Lift and lower the pump by its handle, never by the power cable
  • Do not run the pump dry for long periods
  • Always connect the earth conductor before use

  • Check the oil in the seal chamber regularly; water in the oil indicates seal wear
  • Inspect the impeller and wear plate if output drops
  • Clean the strainer after working in muddy water
  • Check motor insulation resistance before installation
  • Inspect the power cable for cuts and damage before each use
  • Check running current after installation and set the overload relay accordingly

Can I use this Tsurumi pump on Indian 415–440 V supply?

Yes. The motor has been rewound for 440 V, 3 phase, so it can be connected directly to Indian industrial supply with a suitable starter.

Why does the nameplate show 200–220 V?

That is the original Japanese factory rating. We have rewound the motor for 440 V; the original nameplate is kept on the pump for model identification.

What is its output?

Tsurumi rates it at 15,000 LPH at 16.5 m head on 60 Hz. On 50 Hz, expect roughly 12,500 LPH at about 11.5 m.

How heavy is it?

About 30 kg, easy to carry and place by hand.

What hose size does it need?

It has a 50 mm (2 inch) outlet, suitable for a 2 inch hose.
